Local Bursaries

A limited number of bursaries are available to support employees of the University of Nottingham to present at the conference.

These bursaries, funded by the University of Nottingham, are for £100 to support attendance at the 2 day conference, or £50 to support attendance on one day. Full registration costs can be seen here.

Bursaries are limited and we want to support as many colleagues as possible to present at the conference. Therefore, we ask that if you are able to secure funding to cover your registration in another way, e.g. through your school, you try to do this before applying for this bursary.

To apply for the bursary, once you have submitted your abstract, please follow the steps below:

  1. Email Jade Garratt, with the subject line “Bursary Application.”
  2. Attach a copy of your abstract
  3. Include a one paragraph “case for support” explaining what you hope to get out of the conference and why you are not able to fund this through other means.
  4. Specify whether you are applying for the one or two day bursary.

All applications will be reviewed after the deadline for the abstract submissions has passed and we will let you know the outcome as soon as possible.

Note that in order to receive the bursary, you will later need to share your confirmation of registration and abstract acceptance. You do not need to send this with the initial application.
